Lester Early Pickett

Yadkinville Mr. Lester Early Pickett, Jr., 76, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin. Mr. Pickett was born May 29, 1942 in Yadkin County to Lester and Josie Cranfill Pickett. He enjoyed Nascar and attending car shows. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pickett was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Irvin; two sisters, Jaqueline Adams and Mildred Simmons; and two brothers, Aldean and Jim Pickett. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Phyllis Holder Pickett; three children, Jeff (Stuart) Pickett, Jennifer (Mike) Wilson, and Buddy Irvin; 11 grandchildren, Jeffery, Alicia, Charley, Liam, William, Dalton, Whitney, Payton, Caitlin, Taylor, and Kendall; and 3 great grandchildren, Mackayla, Madison, and Luke. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00PM, Friday, August 24, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel with Dr. Bill Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Yadkinville, 304 S State St, Yadkinville, NC 27055 or to SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin, 243 Lee Ave. Yadkinville, NC 27055.
