Mr. Lester Lee Whisenhunt, 48, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024. He was born on June 21, 1976, in Davie County to William Franklin Whisenhunt and Carolyn Reynolds Everhart. He had a love for guns and hunting. He also enjoyed playing Santa each year during the holidays at the Elkin Antiques Mall and at the Waffle House.
Lester is preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Whisenhunt; and grandparents, Mittie and Efird Day. Lester is survived by his mother, Carolyn (Gilbert) Everhart; a sister, Teresa Houston (Rickey); brothers, Doug (Lisa) Whisenhunt and EP (Renae) Whisenhunt; step-brother, Neal Everhart; nieces, Kim (Paul) Wood, Hannah (Justin) Smith, Emily Houston, Brittaney (Maria) Whisenhunt, Alexus Pendley (Darren) and Bethany Roberts; nephews, Brandon Houston, Dillon Whisenhunt (Kenley), Dusten Whisenhunt (Heather) and Ethan Whisenhunt; great nieces and nephews, Keri Pendley, Bahim Bustillo, Audrey Pendley, Catherine Carswell, Davina Whisenhunt, and EB Whisenhunt.
A memorial service for Lester will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 3:00PM in the Gentry Family Chapel of Jonesville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local VFW. The family would also like to specially thank the “Four Horseman” for always sticking by Lester’s side.
