Lexie Irene Billings

Lexie Irene Pollard Billings, 86, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018. She was born September 27, 1931 in Alleghany County to the late Charlie and Mallie Jane Pollard. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Howard R. Billings; three children Howard Thomas Billings, Dennis Ray Billings, Linda Kay Billings; and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by three children Wanda Essick (Charles), Roger Billings, and Nancy Matthews; grandchildren Donald R. White (Jennifer), Carrie S. Matthews; great-grandchildren Madisyn R. White, Alayna L. Bustle, Daniel R. Matthews; brothers Jim Pollard and Tom Pollard (Gladis).  The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Hospital and Forsyth Memorial Hospital for the great care given to Mrs. Billings and to Dr. Vybrial for the exceptional care over the last 20 years. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 11:00 am in the Gentry Family Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Gentry Family Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Crouse Family Cemetery.
