Lillian Bertha Gregory Marion

Yadkinville- Lillian Bertha Gregory Marion, 94, peacefully entered into Heaven on Sunday August 29, 2021, with her granddaughter by her side in their home in Statesville, NC. She was born January 30, 1927 in Wilkes County to the late Jody Thomas Gregory and Gladys Anderson Gregory. She graduated Union Grove High School. She retired from Gullistan, formerly known as J.P. Stevens. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family. She was a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Paul Marion; sisters, Viola Gregory, Vesta Gregory, Esther Childress, and Elector Gregory; brothers, Carlis Gregory, Garvie Gregory, and Charlie Gregory; her children, William Gray Marion, Terry Lynn Marion, Timothy Paul Marion. Survivors are grandchildren, Melissa Marion, Douglas (Shannon) Marion, Travis (Chelsea) Marion; great grandson, Cole Johnson; sisters, Mary Mullis and Carrie Gregory. The family will receive friends and family from 2-3 PM Friday September 3, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Yadkinville, NC. Her funeral will follow at 3:00 PM by the Rev. Steve Hedgecock. The family sends special thanks to the staff of Piedmont Health Care in Statesville and Hospice of Iredell County for the loving care given to Mrs. Marion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Fifth Street Ministries 142 5^th Street, Statesville, NC 28677 and to the Iredell County Animal Shelter 430 Bristol Dr. Statesville, NC 28677.  Gentry Family Funeral service in Yadkinville is serving the Marion family.
