Linda "Diane" Pinnix Scott

East Bend Mrs. Linda Diane Pinnix Scott, 63, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Scott was born December 20, 1956 in Yadkin County to Talmage and Peggy Jester Pinnix. She was a member of Union Cross Friends Church and worked for Unifi for more than 26 years. Mrs. Scott enjoyed gardening and was a very hard worker. She was a loving mother, and loved her grandchildren more than anything. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband whom she adored for more than 41 years, Jackie Lynn Scott. She is survived by two children, Michael (Jennifer) Scott and Kristy (Sam) Witten; two grandchildren, MaKayla Witten (Jacob Thompson) and Bo Witten; sister, Martha (Dean) Steelman; brother, William (Debby) Pinnix; brother-in-law, Doug Scott; nieces and nephews, Abby Scott, Mandy and Julie Pinnix, Dalton Scott (Casey Brown), and Daniel (Pamela) Shore; great nephews, Collin and Grayson Shore; uncle, Roger Scott; and special friends, Julie & Dennis Whitaker and Jim & Brenda Witten. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Gentry Family Chapel with Dr. Robin Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cross Friends Church cemetery. Mrs. Scott will be available for viewing from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the friends, family and neighbors for their continued prayers and visits.
