Linda Marie Colbert Whitaker

Yadkinville Mrs. Linda Marie Colbert Whitaker, 65, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Whitaker was born January 31, 1952 in Forsyth County to the late Arthur and Lynn Lane Colbert. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Mrs. Whitaker is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Ray Whitaker; three daughters, Linda Gail Barry, Patricia (Shannon) Reynolds, and Lorenda Jenkins; six grandchildren, Luke Jenkins, Marie Jenkins, Crystal Norman, Allen Sewell, Gregory Jenkins, and Cory Reynolds; nine great grandchildren, Danielle Brooks, Jeremiah Brooks, Jasmine Wall, Kaden Wall, Nevaeh Peacock, Trent Blevins, Kaylee Acres, Emily Acres, and Sierra Acres; two sisters, Charlotte Lewis and Helen Barnette; and a brother-in-law, Terry Whitaker. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Center United Methodist Church with Dr. Pastor Jeremy Simpson officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Advanced Home Health and to her husband and daughter Linda Gail Barry for the loving care given to Mrs. Whitaker.
