Lois Bryant Hutchens

YADKINVILLE-  Mrs. Lois Bryant Hutchens, 89, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the home of her daughter.  She was born July 12, 1932 in Surry County to the late Dillard Abran and Octive Coe Bryant.  Mrs. Hutchens was retired from Western Electric and Lucent Technologies with 35 years of service.  She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and was a loving devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Nelson Edward Hutchens on August 1, 2002; by her brother, Claude Bryant; her sisters, Nellie B. Swaim, Vermel B. Parker, Betty B. Branon, Kate B. Hutchens; infant sister, Nancy Bryant; and infant brother, Rex Bryant.  Surviving are her daughter, Nancy H. Hill and husband, Terry; her son, E. Kim Hutchens and wife, Diane; her grandson, Tarl E. Hutchens and wife, Stephanie; and several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Hobert Freeman.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
