Lois Dixon Hutchens

Yadkinville Mrs. Lois Mae Dixon Hutchens, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Yadkin Nursing Home. Mrs. Hutchens was born September 23, 1927 in Yadkin County. She enjoyed cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hutchens was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Ray Hutchens; sisters, Stella, Lee, and an infant; and four brothers, Tom, Lester, Howard, and Ray. She is survived by three children, James (Glenda) Hutchens, Larry (Hilda) Hutchens, and Shirley Hardy; grandchildren, Jamie (Kim) Hutchens, Gary (Tonya) Hutchens, Jennifer (Matt) Collins, Melissa (Howard) Reid, Marla Hutchens, Jonathan (Tangee) Hutchens, and Stephanie Whitaker; great grandchildren, Ryan, Brody, Rylee, Derrick, Nicholas, Brandy, Mandy, Courtney, Cody, Luke, Logan, Lexi and Macy; and several great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Solid Rock Baptist Church cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center and Mtn. Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Hutchens.
