Lorene Shore Norman

Mrs. Lorene Shore Norman, 87, of East Bend passed away Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at home. She was born February, 6th, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband Foy Carlysle Norman; her parents Melvin and Evella Shore; and infant sibling Patricia Ann Shore. Surviving are her daughter Lori Norman Lashmit and husband, Tommy, of East Bend; a grandson Lyle Norman Lashmit, wife Kari, and great grandson Kingston Thomas Lashmit of Charlotte; many special nephews and nieces, and a host of cousins and special friends. Lorene retired from Yadkin County Schools after 33 years of service. She then become a certified nurse assistant. She was an avid sports fan who loved Braves baseball and North Carolina ACC basketball teams. She also enjoyed reading and telling everyone about her grandson and his family. Her love for them was unmeasurable. The Rev. Lauren Anderson will conduct a celebration of life at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 1st, 2017, at New Home United Methodist Church, where Lorene was a member. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6, prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Home United Methodist Church, 3340 Smithtown Road, East Bend, NC 27018.
