Loretta Brown Barker

East Bend – Loretta Lee Brown Barker, 57, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born February 13, 1964 in Yadkin County to the late Grady Lee Brown and Inez Matthews Brown. Loretta was known for her love of her family, the farm life, and her faith. She never met a stranger and loved everyone she met. She never passed up an opportunity to witness to anyone she met about her Jesus. She is leaving a beautiful legacy in her handsome boys whom she was always so very proud of. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Robbie Brown. Surviving is her husband, Haywood McClane Barker; sons, Zachariah McClane Barker, Chase Lee (Emily) Barker, Isaac Robert Barker; sisters, Brenda (Jay) Meenach, Glenda (Mike) Booker, Karen (Keith) Googe; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Forbush Friends Meeting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend.
