RURAL HALL - Mrs. Lou Raye Caudle Adams, 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Rose Tara Plantation in King. She was born November 15, 1938 in Surry County to the late Arthur Leake Caudle and Ruby Pratt Caudle. Mrs. Adams retired from Unifi, Inc with 24 years of service and worked with Wal-Mart for several years. She attended Charity Baptist Church in her earlier years, loved listening to Elvis and other country music, and she always enjoyed watching QVC while shopping for jewelry. Surviving are her children, Mark (Angie) Adams, Darrin (Kristy) Adams, Steven Adams, Jeff (Lisa) Adams; grandchildren, Chad (Merritt) Adams, Kayla (Lewis) McBane, Tommy (Jessica) Adams, Brooke Adams and fiance’, Cody Cross, Scarlett (Dalton) Swaim, Corey Adams, Brandon (Morgan) Adams, Liam Adams; great-grandchildren, Presleigh Palmer, Kensleigh Mitchell, Haylie Adams, Jase Adams, Kason Wagg, Steven Wagg, Bea Swaim, Archie Swaim, Rayleigh McBane, Anderson McBane, Weylen Adams; and her brother, Lee (Doris) Caudle. The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville. Her Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11 AM in the Gentry Family Chapel with her son, Mark Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Richmond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Mountain Valley Hospice, 246 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 28676 or to Rosa Tara Plantation Activity Fund, 125 Plantation Drive, King, NC 27021.
