Louise Wishon Martin

Mrs. Louise Wishon Martin, 85, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. She was born September 17, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late Bob and Mattie Wishon. Louise enjoyed working in her flowers and dancing when she was able, and she dearly loved her family. She was a member of Hanes Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul Gray Martin; a sister, Katie Wishon Stokes; brothers, Eldon Wishon, Earl Wishon, and Fred Wishon. She is survived by her son, Jeff (Lisa) Martin; granddaughters, Samantha Martin, and Ivy Martin; great-granddaughter, Ava Martin; sister, Lucille Holbrook; her brothers, RC Wishon, Basiel (Doris) Wishon, Shorty Wishon; sister-in-law, Polly Martin Mastin, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 3:30 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Hanes Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Mack Warren and Rick Carter officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Carolina Caring, Sherrills Ford Hospice House for the top shelf care given to Mrs. Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the donor’s choice.
