Louise Branon Moore

Moore Yadkinville - Martha Louise “Lou” Branon Moore, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, after an extended illness. Born in Yadkin County on September 3, 1934 to the late Troy Hendren Branon and Mary Hutchens Branon, she was 83 at her passing. She was a very strong and independent woman, enduring long suffering at home to be with family. She held many jobs, the last being a receptionist at Hoots Memorial Hospital. She held many fond memories of her tenure there.  Her last days were spent in the home of her great niece, Madeline (Ben) Redmond, enjoying time with great-great nieces and nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James B. Moore; brothers, Thad Branon, Davis Branon, Floyd Branon, Howard Hutchens, Thomas Hutchens, Jack Branon, Paul Branon and sister, Lillian Ireland. She is survived by a sister, Nellie B. Stewart; brother, Albert (Shirley) Branon, and a host of special nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Kenny Pardue. Burial will follow at Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to thank Iredell County EMS, Iredell Memorial Hospital, and the Gordon Hospice Home in Statesville for their kindness and generosity.
