Mr. Loyd George Lynch, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 06, 2017 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mr. Lynch was born March 15, 1930 in Yadkin County to Julius and Sarah Allgood Lynch. He graduated from Courtney High School and was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean War. Mr. Lynch was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church and retired from AT&T. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Lynch. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Annie Pendry Lynch; two daughters, Reta Lynch Moncus and Susan Lynch King and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Ashley Moncus, Amanda King Suddeth and husband Kyle, Bryan King and wife Katelyn, and Eric King; great grandchildren, Jackson Abbott, Calvin and Julia King; two sisters, Minnie Baity and Opal Freeman and husband Elgin; and two brothers, Wayne Lynch and wife Marie and James Lynch and wife Mildred. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville with Thomas King and Rev. Scott Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Turners Creek Baptist Church cemetery with military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
