Lucille Childress Caudle

Yadkinville- Lucille Childress Caudle, 87, of Yadkinville, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020. She was born in Yadkin County on September 21, 1932 to the late John Ervin and Myrtle McCollum Childress. She was a member of Shacktown Church of Christ. Lucille was a loving person to her family and others. She enjoyed working in her flowers and cooking for her family and friends, and enjoyed music. She also enjoyed going to and working at the senior center. For many years, she was a nurses aid at Hoots Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Harold Caudle, Sr., a son-in-law, Dean Chappell, great grand Angel Babies, Alexander, Victoria, and Jacob Chappell, and her brothers, William Ray, Robert, and David Childress.

Surviving are her children, Betty Caudle Chappell and James Harold (Rebecca) Caudle, Jr., grandchildren, Larry Dean (Tonya) Chappell, Jessica (Cody) Collins, and Emily (Jared) Hatfield; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Emma Collins, sisters, Roxie Allgood, Ruth Carrigan, Betty Bell, Pearl (Jimmy) Hicks, and Wilma (Marty) Finney; brothers, Allen Childress and Bobby (Sharon) Childress.

Due to the governmental restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Shacktown Church of Christ. The body may be viewed on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm, and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff of Yadkin Nursing, SECU Hospice, and all the family and friends for their prayers.
