Mr. Wiley “Mack” Weatherman, 85, passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born in Yadkin County, January 23, 1938 to the late Wiley Solon Weatherman and Luvada Myers Weatherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jessie Mae Swaim, Ellen Vestal, and Veatrel Weatherman and his brother, Clarence Weatherman. Mr. Weatherman retired after 43 years of service at Chatham’s Manufacturing. He was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church. Mack loved camping with his loving family. He enjoyed farming on his tractor, and gardening. Mr. Weatherman served in the US Army Reserves. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carol Lashmit Weatherman; his children, Tim (Susan) Weatherman, Gina (Ronnie) Wilmoth; grandchildren, Anna (Garrett) Welborn, Jordan (Victoria) Weatherman, Kyle (Emily) Weatherman, Amber Wilmoth, Bailey Wilmoth; great-grandchildren, Maddox, Alivia, Emery, Ellysyn, Brayden, Kannon. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 PM, at Swan Creek Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the church with Rev. Scott Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Weatherman will be available for viewing, Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. The family would like to give a special thank you, to Mack’s niece and nephew, Beth Crouse, and Randall Weatherman and also the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice, especially nurse Debbie Ford for the loving care shown to Mack and his family.
