Mackie Lincoln Cockerham

Mackie Lincoln Cockerham, 85, passed away Friday June 10, 2022. He was born February 12, 1937 in Wilkes County to the late William Rester Cockerham and Susie Yarboro Cockerham. He was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years. He enjoyed playing softball, enjoyed the senior games, wood working, gardening and he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Mark Cockerham, brother William Rester Cockerham, Jr. Surviving are his wife Deanna Stuart Cockerham; children Stephen (Melanie) Cockerham, Deborah Burcham; grandchildren Kate, Gabriel, Graham, Michaela, Emily; sister Rebecca Fowler. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at Benham Baptist Church by Rev. Bill Messer. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association - Western Carolina Chapter,
