Mae Whitaker Haire

Haire Yadkinville – Lyttle Mae Whitaker Haire, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She was born October 6, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late Doud and Stella Holcomb Whitaker.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Whitaker; brothers, Wayne Whitaker, Haskell Whitaker, Numa Whitaker, Dwight Whitaker; son-in-law, Tommy Miller, Sr.; step grandchildren, Tommy Miller, Jr., Chris Miller.  Surviving are her daughters, Wanda (Andy) Anderson, Brenda Royal from Yadkinville; grandchildren Kenneth (Jean) Royal from Winston-Salem, Tim (Christine) Royal, Renee Gregory from Yadkinville; step-grandchildren, Danita Miller, Jerry Miller both from Shallotte, Gregory (Tracey) Anderson of Elkin; great grandchildren, Adam Royal, Ashton Gregory, Kyler Gregory from Yadkinville; and several step great grandchildren.  Her graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Center United Methodist Cemetery by the Rev. Gregory Anderson and the Rev. Bill Foust.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the graveside service on Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Memorials can be made to Cancer Services, 3175 Maplewood Ave, Winston-Salem, NC  27103 or to Center United Methodist Church, 1400 Center Road, Yadkinville, NC  27055 or to Yadkin Senior Center, 207 E.
