Magdeline Mildred Lewis

March 22, 1930 — May 30, 2017

Lewis Yadkinville-  Magdeline Mildred (Maggie) Lewis, 87, passed away May 30, 2017 at her home.  She was born March 22, 1930 in Dillon County, SC to the late Marvin and Mae Young Carlyle.  She was a member of Lewisville United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose.  She loved to garden and was an avid bird watcher.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cathy McPhail, and a sister, Bobbi Gray.  Surviving are her husband, Wilmer F. “Bill” Lewis; children, Kelly McPhail, Nanelle (Bill) Pulliam, Ross (Ann) Lewis; grandchildren, Noelle Redmon, Holly Mathis, Jessica Lewis, Rebecca Lewis; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Riley, Rex, Zeb, Piper; sister Mary “Jodi” (Larry) Pavlis; nephews, Paul Gray, Mitchell Gray, Michael Sousa, and Steven Sousa.  Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Larry Hatfield.  Inurnment will follow the service in Forsyth Memorial Park.  The family would like to thank the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Mocksville Hospice Staff, nurse Cynthia Pierce, Larry and Jane Hatfield, Ed and Carol Hartman, Nicholas and Beth Gonzales, Ron and Rosa Lovejoy and their twins, along with many other friends for all the love and care shown to Maggie.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charitable organization like Hospice would be appreciated.  Maggies favorite was the St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Memphis.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Lewis Family.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
