Mrs. Margaret Millie Prim Shore, 84, passed away Friday November 15, 2024 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. She was born January 20, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late Lloyd Houston and Laura Hazel Miller Prim. Mrs. Shore retired with several years of service as a rural mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. She was also an active member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, loved playing pickleball and camping with family and friends, and was a volunteer with the Yadkin Senior Center. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Keith Shore; her son, Jeffery “Kent” Shore, by sisters, Ruby P. Lawson, Ora P. Sebra, Barbara P. Steelman, Mary P. Wood; and a brother Dean Prim. Surviving are her 3 children, Brian (Tammy) Shore of State Road; Sammy Shore of Boonville; Melissa Shore (Joe) Shaw of Westfield, NC; Her daughter-in-law, Alison Shore of Mt. Pleasant, SC; 10 grandchildren, Kristin Shore, Tyler Shore, Chelsea Shore, Joseph Shore, Jared Shore, Dustin Robertson, Tommy Robertson, Dalley White, Travis Shore, Lindsay Fitzgerald; 5 great-grandchildren; and a very special mother-in-law, Kate Shore. Her graveside service will be 1:00 PM Monday November 18, 2024 at Richmond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Will Hamric. A time of fellowship will follow the graveside in the Richmond Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond Hill Baptist Church, 2205 Richmond Hill Church Road, Boonville, NC 27011.
