Marie Hobson Williams

Marie Hobson Williams, 86, passed away Sunday October 1, 2017. She was born August 24, 1931 in Yadkin County to the late Charlie and Orie Mickles Hobson. Mrs. Williams was retired from Sara Lee after 47 years and was a member of Union Cross Friends. Marie was a Volunteer worker for Forbush Elementary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ambrose W. Williams; two sisters Mozelle Hennings, Erie Russell; three brothers Weldon Hobson, Clifford “Bud” Hobson, Charlie Ray Hobson. Surviving are her children Andy (Renee) Williams, Amette (Dusty) Pratt; grandchildren Lauren Pratt, Amber Pratt, Kayla (Kenny) Bentley, Justin (Malia) Williams; great grandchild Reagan Bentley; special sister in law Della Hobson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday October 4, 2017 at Union Cross Friends. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation at the church by Brady Morrison. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Williams.
