Everhart Tobaccoville – Mark L. Everhart, 49, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 25, 2019. He was born June 26, 1969 in Forsyth County to Tony and Carol Sue Everhart. In addition to his parents, he was also survived by a brother, Chris (Cindy) Everhart of Texas; niece, Tiffany (Mila); nephews, Tyler (Kristy) Everhart of Texas, Tanner Everhart of Greensboro; special friend, David Colbert, who with Penny Norman has taken full care of Mark, night and day on his final days of cancer. We can never express our thanks for the wonderful care they gave him. Mark graduated from North Forsyth High School and immediately joins the Army to learn aircraft repair. He then went to jump school and became a member of the 82nd Airborne. He was also an Eagle Scout, and also served in the Desert Storm War. When he came home, he met the love of his life, Sandy Haffner. He wanted to build a house and he worked several days and nights at B.E. Aerospace. They were able to live in the house for only 6 weeks, as she passed away with a brain tumor. He also worked for Timco, Piedmont Aviation, and became a contractor for Pratt-Whiney, McDonald Douglas. He then worked for Van Wingerton as District Manager. He had a business as a refrigeration repairman and his last job was with North State Aviation. Mark was a very witty person and everyone he met loved him. His funeral service will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dr. Suzanne Michael and the Rev. Bill Currie. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The family would like to thank his VA doctors, and the doctors at Baptist Hospital for all the love and care shown to Mark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 5125 Shattalon Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or to the cancer fund of Winston-Salem.
