Mark Joseph Harris

Mark Joseph Harris, 40, of Rural Hall, NC passed away in the morning hours of Monday, April 24th 2023.  He was born on June 21st, 1982 to Gary Estil Harris and Sandra Carter Harris. He is preceded in death by his mother Sandy Carter Harris, sister Julie Elizabeth Harris, grandparents Estil Woodrow Harris, Sadie Mae Harris (Felts), Ray Bob Carter, and Betty Lou Carter (Weatherman). He is survived by his daughters Anna Lane Harris, Emily Renee Blake, and Leah Grace Harris, father Gary Estil Harris, brother Matthew Carter Harris, and nephews Alastair Storm Harris, Hiram Aidan Harris, and Ean Aslan Key.  Mark was a kind, giving and loving man. His family and the people he loved meant everything to him. Through many trials and struggles he strove to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as best as he could. He was active in his churches and often volunteered his services. He believed very much in hard work. It was not only his talent and masterful art but also his greatest earthly comfort. He loved gospel and country music. He loved to gather with family and friends and was the life of the party. An adventurous, fearless spirit, Mark loved to be outdoors and activities such as kayaking, horseback riding, motorcycling, etc. He was a very talented off-road driver and was a very skilled tree climber and expert. His legacy is that of a loving man who was loved by many and he will be greatly missed.  His graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 28, 2023 at Fall Creek Baptist Cemetery by Dr. Charlie Kennedy.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM Friday, April 28, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville, which is serving the Harris family.  Online condolences can be made at  www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
