Marvin Judees Mickles

Mickles Boonville- Marvin Judees Mickles, 89, 1725 Mickles Lane died Wednesday March 14, 2018 at his home. Marvin was born in Yadkin County on June 17, 1928; son of the late Dallas William and Ola Hutchens Mickles. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joy Finney Mickles and J.R. Mickles and one sister, Lavera Martha Warden. He was a member of Union Cross Friends Church, the owner and operator of Marvin’s Used Cars for over 30 years, 13 years with American Bakery and retired from Forsyth County School bus garage with 15 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Garnett Baker Mickles, a daughter, Cathy (Melvin) Pinnix, two grandchildren, Lee (Morgan) Decker and Elizabeth (Waylon) Rice and several other step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Friday March 16, 2018 at 12:00 noon from Gentry Family Funeral Chapel with the Dr. Robin Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cross Friends Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
