Mary Louise Brown

YADKINVILLE – Mary Louise Brown, 87, peacefully passed away, Sunday August 11, 2024 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mary Lou was born January 22, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Oval Varnie and Beatrice Felts Shore. Mary Lou retired as a surgical assistant from Forsyth Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Leroy Brown, infant brother Varnie Lee, brothers James and Billy Shore. Survivors are her son, Steve (Jennie) Brown and daughter, Beth (Aric) Wilhelm along with grandchildren Maria Bangle and Shane Brown, five great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one brother, Bobby (Frances) Shore and three step-grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy and Benny Bullard. Her service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, August, 14, 2024 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Matthew Foster. Burial will follow at Longtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
