Mary Ruth Howell

Howell Boonville-Mary Ruth Porter Howell, 71, of Boonville, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019. She was born in Yadkin County on June 24, 1948 to the late Carl and Annie Mae Porter. She enjoyed dancing and fishing. Mary Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and a brother James Porter. Surviving are her husband, Gilbert Howell, Sr.; her sons, Bobby Howell, Leroy Howell, Kevin Howell, and Gilbert Thomas Howell, Jr.; a brother, Carl Porter, Jr.; grandchildren, Rodney Howell, Heather Long, Sasha Howell, Devin Howell, Mason Alexander Howell, Jodeci Howell, Samari Howell, and Aniyah Terry;  great-grandchildren, Ava Howell, Shamiya Howell, Tamaya Howell; and two step-grandchildren, Basaun Dalton and Aaliyah Dalton. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Gentry Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joel Shackleford officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm Friday one hour before the service. Burial will follow in the Clarks Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
