Mary Jane Hardy Collins

Boonville Mrs. Mary Jane Hardy Collins, 75, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Collins was born September 4, 1942 in Surry County to James and Nellie Hutchens Hardy. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Collins enjoyed working in her flowers, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Heidi Mae Hardy; four sisters, Annie Flynn, Viola Draughn, Billie Atkins, and Katie Smith; and four brothers, Ruebin, Jessie, Claude and Robert Hardy. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jack Junior Collins; one daughter, Terry Ford; four grandchildren, Loretta (Scott) Guden, Chris (Julia) Hardy, Bradley (Melissa) Hardy, and Amanda Ford; great grandchildren, Jakob, Emerie, Gracie, Israel, and Lauryn Faith Guden, Bethanie & Jemma Hardy, Abby & Baby Hardy; one sister, Maye (Lawrence) Adams; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Edwards and Rev. Brian Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the church.
