BOONVILLE -   Mrs. Mary Lee Weatherman Casstevens, 96, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 30, 2023.  She was born February 2, 1927 in Yadkin County to the late Elsie and Daisy Wagoner Weatherman.  Mrs. Casstevens was a member of Center United Methodist Church and attended Mitchell’s Chapel United Methodist Church for several years with her husband.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gray Casstevens.  Surviving are her loving sister, Evelyn Weatherman; her brother, Hugh Weatherman; her niece, April Weatherman; a step-son, Michael Casstevens; and several cousins and friends.  Mrs. Casstevens will be available for public viewing Sunday from 8 AM to 1 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Mitchell’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Rex Cranfill and Cathy Recchio.
