Mary Katherine Haynes Reavis

April 4, 1932 — November 2, 2017

Reavis Winston-Salem-  Mary Katherine Haynes Reavis, 85, wife of Turner Leo Reavis of Winston-Salem, passed away on November 2, 2017 at the SECU/ Mountain Valley Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, a loving, caring facility in Yadkinville.  She was born April 4, 1932 in Yadkinville, NC the daughter of the late Dudley A. and Juanita Johnson Haynes.  Mary graduated from Courtney High School and Winston-Salem School of Cosmetology.  She was a hairdresser for 42 years.  She loved her work and treated and cared for her patrons as though they were family.  She was a member of Old Town Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Turner Leo Reavis; daughters, Janet Reavis (Jim) Howard of Statesville, Terry Reavis (Ray) Rumburg of Mooresville; 4 grandchildren, Ashley (Charles) Markulik, Mary Beth (Patrick) Saunders, Caroline  Rumburg (Bret) Leatherwood, Jake Rumburg; great-grandchildren, Madi (Mathew) Hassler, Jacob Markulik, Charles (Courtney) Markulik; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Eldon) Wishon, Carolyn Bray, Judi Hall Ward, and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  A private graveside service by Chaplain Mark Brown will be held in Forsyth Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Old Town Baptist Church, 4386 Shattalon Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106, or to SECU/Mountain Valley Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, 243 North Lee Ave. Yadkinville, NC  27055.  The family will be eternally grateful for the loving care they provided.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Reavis Family.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
