Mattie McEwen Renegar

Mocksville Mrs. Mattie Lee McEwen Renegar, 87, passed away Friday, July 07, 2017 at Davie Place. Mrs. Renegar was born March 9, 1930 in Yadkin County to Stanley and Mary Trivette McEwen. She was a lifelong member of Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Renegar enjoyed reading, crafts, and working with children. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Renegar was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Stanley Renegar; a son, Randy Renegar; a sister, Shirley Renegar; and a brother, Russell McEwen. She is survived by one sister, Mary Faye Hobson; three brothers, JC (Pauline) McEwen, Price McEwen, and Jesse McEwen; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Monday, July 10, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 2433 Liberty Church Rd Mocksville, NC 27028.
