Maye Adams

Mrs. Maggie “Maye” Hardy Adams, age 81, passed away, Tuesday, March 30, 2021. She was born October 17, 1939 in Surry County to the late James and Nellie Hardy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Annie Flynn, Viola Draughn, Billie Atkins, Katie Smith, and Mary Jane Collins; her brothers, Ruebin Hardy, Jessie Hardy, Claude Hardy, and Robert Hardy. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Adams; son, Craig (Devon) Adams; grandchildren, Blaze Adams, and Dylan Ray. Maye married the love of her life, Lawrence Adams, December 23, 1960. She was member of Friendship Baptist Church. Maye and Lawrence were charter members of Yadkin Valley Cruisers. She enjoyed arranging and growing flowers, and she loved cooking, and no one ever left her home hungry. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until 3:00PM, Friday, April 2, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church in East Bend. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00PM with Rev. Vann Harrell, and Rev. Brian Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Roger and Sandy Adams, Karen Wooten and the staff of Mtn.
