Melissa Smith Maresco

Yadkinville Ms. Melissa Dawn Smith Maresco, 43, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Melissa was born August 21, 1979 in Forsyth County to David and Joy Jones Smith. She was very artistic and loved to draw. In addition to her parents, Melissa was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Smith. She is survived by her three children, Alexandrea Porter (Travis Brewer), Zachariah Maresco and Breyanna Maresco; grandchildren, Michael and Amelia Brewer; her “mother by choice”, Annis Whittington; lifelong friends, Kelly Byerly, Michael Porter and Candus Lineberry; and her friends and co-workers at Yadkin Valley Seafood. A visitation will be held from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Gospel Chapel Church 1840 North Oak Ridge Rd Boonville NC. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Davie Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for the loving care given to Melissa.
