Michael Robert Traphofner

Hamptonville Michael Robert Traphofner, 56, went home to be with the Lord on June 7th, 2020. Mike was born to Robert and Virginia Traphofner on March 19, 1964 in New Jersey. He will be welcomed in heaven by his mother Virginia, sister Carol Halverson, father-in-law Jackie Snow, brother-in-law Ned Barnes, and his beloved dogs Bandit, Bink, and Stryder. Mike loved to fish and golf and loved to talk with his brothers-in-law, Ned Barnes and Jamie Snow about both. Mike and Diane met 28 years ago at a fish lake and fell in love. They married in April, 1994, and though they had no children, they raised 3 beloved dogs: Bandit, a cocker spaniel, and two beagles, Bink and Stryder. He is survived by his loving wife Diane, his father Robert, in-laws Betty and Bill Doby, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 5 great-nieces, and 2 great-nephews, all of who will dearly miss him. Mike will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at Bethel Baptist Church with his family close by. In lieu of flowers, please donate to ASPCA as Mike wished to protect all animals from cruelty. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Traphofner family.
