Mildred Ann Gentry Cheek

  Mildred Ann Gentry Cheek, 72, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019. She was born in Yadkin county on January 6, 1947, the daughter to the late Roy Gentry and Clara Hawkins Gentry, Mrs. Cheek was a member of Cornerstone Ministries. She loved cooking and feeding everyone that came by. She never met a stranger, strong in her faith and a friend to all. She is survived by her two children; Laurence Christian Cheek I and Zimme Lynn Miles, her grandchildren; Ashley Nicole Williams, Tiffany Nicole Cates, Travis Lee Arnold Bodford, Zachary Nathaniel Levi Cheek, Zimme Lenell Alexis Miles, two great grandchildren; Maleah and Maya Williams and a sister, Faye Lusk (Lenny).  She is preceded in death other than her parents are her two sisters, Margaret St. John and Minnie Lee Gentry and a brother, Junior Gentry. A celebration of life graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in State Road community by Rev. Lenny Lusk officiating.  Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville.
