Mildred Jenkins Macemore

Mildred Jenkins Macemore, 78, of Hamptonville, passed away peacefully Monday, June 28, 2021 at her residence. She was born on March 11, 1943 in Yancey County to Fred McKinley and May Robinson Jenkins. Mrs. Macemore was a registered nurse for many years and enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Derek Macemore and by a brother Garland Jenkins. Surviving are her husband, Jack Macemore; her children, Myra Parish, Gray Macemore, Clifton Macemore, and Leigh Calloway; grandchildren, Lonnie Macemore, Julia Boger, Nick Jordan, and Josh Adams; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Hettie Wood, Zula Darnell, Brenda Carter, and Linda fields.
