Mildred Myers Markland

Markland Advance – Mildred O’Neil Myers Markland, 93, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. She was born January 31, 1925 in Davie County to the late Fred Sanford Myers and Alice Beauchamp Myers.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jackson Markland; son, Gerald Markland; infant daughter, Beverly Markland; sisters, Mabel Watson, Thelma McMahan.  Surviving are her sons, Richard (Carolyn) Markland, Gaither (Ann) Markland, Larry (Martha) Markland, Carlton (Shirley) Markland; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; daughter-in-law, Cathy Slye.  Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 at Elbaville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rex Cranfill and the Rev.
