YADKINVILLE -  Ms Mindy Renay Spillman, 65, passed away peacefully Friday, September 22, 2023 at the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin.  She was born August 21, 1958 in Yadkin County to the late Henry Ray and Betty Jean McEwen Spillman.  Ms Spillman received her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Surry Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Human Resources from Gardner Webb University.  She was president of the Law Enforcement Organization while at Surry Community College.  She was a former member of Bread of Life Baptist Church where she was the former Bible School Director and was a Sunday School Teacher.  She currently had been attending Northwood Baptist Church in Yadkinville.  Ms Spillman was a loving devoted mother and grandmother to her children.  She loved to talk with anyone and share the love of Jesus Christ to each of them.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Connie Diane Spillman Doss, her brother, David Dean Spillman, and her close friend, Pat Newsom.  Surviving are her 3 beloved children, Adam Corey Boose, Alexander Ray Spillman, and Autumn Renay Spillman (Peter Alvarez); grandchildren, Landon Boose, Noah Boose, and Gideon Alvarez; her brother, Steven Ray (Laurie) Spillman; sisters, Debbie Jean Spillman (Mike) Booth, Ann Margaret Spillman (Donald) Curry; her former husband, Henry West; her close friend, Frank Newsom and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday September 30, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Her Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 PM  Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Andy McDaniel and Rev. Tim Webb.  Interment will follow in Courtney Baptist Church Cemetery.
