Myrtle Davis

Myrtle Kathleen Harris Davis, 87, of East Bend, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Mrs. Davis was born on July 16, 1937, in Yadkin County and was the daughter of the late Walter John Henry Harris and Lillie May Wall Harris.

Myrtle was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Her most cherished times were spent in her flower garden, watching birds and squirrels and rocking in her front porch swing.

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was proceeded in death by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Glenn Davis, Sr., son, Thomas Glenn Davis, Jr., brother John Harris and her loving dog companion, Coco.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, James H. Davis and wife Teresa and Larry G. Davis and wife Katie; grandchildren, Cindy Smith, Dara Ricketson and husband Mark, Tabithia Freshour and husband Brian; and great granddaughter, Hailey Freshour, her two great grandpups, Bowie and Ryder and other extended family. 

The family will visit with friends on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Union Grove Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kenny Gooden officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Grove Baptist Church building Fund at 2401 Nebo Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend is serving the Davis Family.
