Nadine Haynes Grant

Nadine Haynes Grant, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was born July 27, 1934 in Wilkes County to the late Floyd and Dorothy Caudill Haynes. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Reba Idol; a brother Joe Haynes. Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years Ralph Grant; children Donald (Karen) Grant, Sandra (Grant) Adams, Sharon Hamby (Jason Stoots); grandchildren Heather (Ben) Burton, Lauren (Zach) Hisel, Eden Hamby, Logan Hamby, Michael (Heather) Grant, Ray Grant; seven great-grandchildren; two great- great- grandchildren; a sister Margaret (Silas) Collins. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Swan Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Scott Bishop. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thank you to the Nurses and Staff of the SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville for the loving care given to Mrs. Grant.
