Nancy Jane Poindexter Fields

Mrs. Nancy Jane Poindexter Fields, 57, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022.

She was born in Yadkin County on April 3, 1965 to Lester Poindexter and Betty Salmons Poindexter.

Nancy was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. Nancy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Pilcher; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Flora Salmons; and paternal grandparents, Posie and Alice Poindexter.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Billy Fields, Jr.; children, Bradley Gray Pilcher (Brittany Leonard) and Brandon (Barbara) Ray Pilcher; stepsons, Daniel Fields and Joshua Fields (Quintina Gulledge); grandchildren, Addison Pilcher, Brayden Pilcher, Kayden Williamson, Noah Fields, and Shianne Hutchens; mother, Betty Salmons; sisters, Debbie Collar (Joel Sweatman), Linda Hutchens, Ann (Roger) Hutchens, and Wanda (Mickey) Harrington; brothers, Tommy (Wadonna) Poindexter; mother and father-in-law, Billy and Carolyn Fields; sister-in-law, Michele (Jimmy) Burdette; and brother-in-law, Todd (Lisa) Fields.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. David Averette officiating. Interment will follow at Gospel Way Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
