Nancy Gentry Scott

Yadkinville Mrs. Nancy Gentry Scott, 81, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Scott was born August 30, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Harvey and Loraine Darnell Gentry. Mrs. Scott graduated from Boonville High School and received a Bachelor's degree in education from Appalachian State Teachers College. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and a volunteer for Yadkinville Elementary School library. Mrs. Scott was a devoted wife and mother, and cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles E. Scott, children, Catherine (Thom) Scott-Little, Karen (Eric) Morrison, and Keith Scott; grandchildren, Virginia & Rebecca Little and Alex & Katena Morrison; and a brother, Rev. Jack (Ruby) Gentry. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Kenny Gooden and Pastor Eric Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Monday, July 19th at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
