Hamptonville- Mrs. Nella Sue Johnson Shore, 78, of Wilkes-Yadkin Road passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her home. She was born March 5, 1940 in Surry County to the late Spencer and Della Wagoner Johnson. Mrs. Shore was a member of Dennyville Baptist Church and had been attending Wilkes Faith Church as long as her health permitted. She was a very witty, funny, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver and homemaker to her family and friends throughout her community. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Tyre Glenn Johnson and by a grandson, Jared Greene. Surviving are her beloved husband of 61 years, Ralph Clayton Shore, of the home; 4 daughters, Sara Wooten & Roy of Ronda, Rita Harris & Joel Melton of State Road, Laura Myers & Rayford of Hamptonville, Kelly Gentry & Jason of Hamptonville; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday at Wilkes Faith Church. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 PM Thursday in Wilkes Faith Church by Rev. Bobby Jenkins. Burial will follow the service in Dennyville Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Shore Family.
