Nettie Gerldine Sidden

Nettie Sidden passed away on January 31, 2021 at home. Nettie was born on March 8^th, 1956 to the late Carl and Katherine Franklin Smith. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alexis Settle and 2 infant sisters.  Nettie was of the Baptist Faith and attended Charity Hill Baptist Church.  Nettie was a wonderful cook and enjoyed meals and time spent with her family.  She loved to color.   

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roy Sidden; children, Tonya Sidden, Lisa (Sammy) Clonch, Angela (Tony) Ellis, and Ashley (Chris) Settle; grandchildren, Scottie Speer, Shawn (Melissa) Clonch, Jennifer Clonch, Dakota Ellis, Cameron Ellis, Madison Settle, Annabelle Settle, Skylar Settle, and one on the way; one brother and six sisters.

The family is eternally grateful for the loving care given to Mrs. Sidden from Elkin Dialysis Center (Donna Greene and Tracey Greenwood) and Bayada Home Health (Marsha Caudill).  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Elkin Dialysis Center, 941 Johnson Ridge Rd., Elkin, NC 28621.

Nettie will lie in state at Crestwood Memorial Gardens from 12:30 – 1 PM.  The graveside service will follow at 1 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021, officiated by Dr. Charlie Kennedy.  Social distancing and wearing of masks is encouraged.
