Nicole "Niki" Roberts Young

Crumpler Ms. Nicole “Niki” Roberts Young, 43, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at her home. Niki was born June 17, 1979 in Forsyth County to the late Thomas Wiley and Sandra Elaine Oakley Roberts. She was a graduate of Starmount High School, Class of 1997, and graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Early Childhood Development. Niki was a beautiful soul and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed collecting antiques and visiting thrift shops. More than anything, she loved being a mother to her children. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Sam Young; her daughter, Harper Young; her brother, Aaron Roberts and wife Michelle; her sister, Sherri Scherer and husband John; two cousins, Melissa Mickles and Duane Roberts; an uncle and aunt, Jim and Carol Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Mitchell’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 2410 Center Road, Boonville, NC 27011 with Dr. Chad Mann and Rev. Rebekah Ralph officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the church. Another service will be held September 24, 2022 in Ashe County for her friends and family there.
