Mrs. Nina McEwen Marlow, 95, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024. She was born November 8, 1928 in Yadkin County to the late Erk and Aldy Speer McEwen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Wayne Archie Marlow; brother, Houston “Bip” McEwen; sisters, Betty Spillman, and Peggy Smith. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Nina and Wayne enjoyed many years of traveling the United States going to gem and mineral shows. Their love for gem and minerals led them to meet so many people that they developed lifelong friendships. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Vince) Hamrick, Barbara Goss, Linda Pate; grandchildren Jane (Mike) Williams, David (Lisa) Shore, James Goss, Will (Kelly) Naylor; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; sister, Sarah Richardson; sisters-in-law, Hazel Wagoner, Helen Reavis, Mildred Moore, Violet Marlow. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday February 11, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 12, 2024 in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. The family would like to say a very special thank you to the staff of the Yadkin Nursing Care Rehabilitation Center for the loving care given to Nina. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Marlow family.
