Nora Mounce Williard

EAST BEND-  Nora Mounce Williard, 103, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab, Clemmons, NC.  She was born on June 9, 1919, to Mr. and Mrs. Abram Brady Mounce and was married to Fred R. Williard for sixty-six years.  Mrs. Williard was a life-long member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Williard is survived by a son, Mike Williard and wife, Judy of Lewisville, NC; a granddaughter, Dr. Cameron Williard Hogg and husband, Rev. John Hogg of Richmond, VA; twin great-grandsons, Silas and Peter Hogg, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Williard was predeceased by her brother, Dewey Mounce; brothers-in-law, Paul Williard and Gaither Williard; sisters-in-law, Beulah Mounce, Frances Williard, and Mary Williard.

    A funeral service will be held at Richmond Hill Baptist Church on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be from 9:45-10:45 AM Monday prior to the service in the Family Life Center at the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made Richmond Hill Baptist Church, 2205 Richmond Hill Church Road, Boonville, NC  27011 or to the donor’s choice.  The family would like to thank the staffs of Vienna Village of Pfafftown and Trinity Elms Health and Rehab of Clemmons for their excellent Care during Nora’s stay at each facility.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
