Norman Gwyn Lyon

Norman Gwyn Lyon, 81, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was born April 5, 1943 in Wilkes County to the late George Lyon and Lexie Pruitt Lyon. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Finney Lyon; sister, Francis Wade; brothers, Brantley Shaver, Glyde Shaver. He is survived by his sons, Darrell (Amy) Lyon, Terry (Denise) Lyon; grandchildren, Blake (Shellie) Lyon, Brandon Lyon, Jordan (Luisa) Lyon, Moira Money, Lynden (Ryann) Lyon, Emily (Drew) Sims, Hank (Alexis) Ward, Molly Reeves; Eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2025 at East Bend Friends Meeting by the Rev. Jerry Sparks. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend.
