On July 27, 2024, in the “twinkling of an eye”, my sister, Rosa Novella Pardue left this earth to go to Heaven with our Savior and Lord. She was preceded there by our parents, Jesse Pardue Sr., and Mozelle McKnight Pardue, our brother, JW Pardue Jr. (Betty Lou); our sister, Mary Elizabeth Pardue, and grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. She is survived by sister Martha Pardue Vestal (Tom), (Yadkin County to Raleigh to the Mountains); four nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly: Ann (Steve Talton), Darlene (Clyde) Bristow, Phillip (Leesa) Pardue, Tommy (Heather) Vestal; four great nieces and nephews, Jesse Talton, Lenyer Vestal Weathers, Grayson Vestal, and Olivia Vestal Daming. She is also survived by Chris Hudspeth, a daughter she chose to love and care for, for many years. She was employed at American Defender Life Insurance Company in Raleigh during the 60’s and 70’s and then moved back to Yadkin County. Later she became the Activity Director at Piedmont Village, which she loved so much. After this season, she was a caregiver for our mother and later our dad. We were taught by them to love and help the sick and elderly. Novella excelled at that! We were born and raised in the Forbush community and Forbush Baptist Church, where she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. To God be the Glory! The family wants to express our thanks and appreciation to Maplewood Baptist Church, her local church family, for all their love and support in the last few years; Yadkin Valley Hospice, for many months of caring for her; Yadkin Hospice House for loving and caring for her this last week of her life. And you did a wonderful job loving and caring for her! The family would also like to thank Impact Yadkin for everything they did to help Novella and for the love of Christ they share. And, last but certainly not least, thank you, longtime care giver, Mary Hale for helping her so much, which allowed her to stay home until (almost) the final days. We love and appreciate you so much! The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service. A funeral will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel with The Rev. Tome Vestal and The Rev. Jimmy Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Forbush Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Blvd., Mt. Airy, NC. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Pardue family.
