Novella Reece

Mrs. Novella Brown Reece, 82, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was born in Yadkin County on March 13, 1941 to Gurney Brown and Winnie Huffman Brown. Novella loved to bake and made the best fried apple pies. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching, crossword puzzles, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Novella was a wonderful caregiver to her husband. Everyone who had the privilege to know her will truly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Reece; and siblings, Mary, Dot, Coy, Coleen, and Pauline. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Reece; grandchildren, Jared (Casey) Brown and Lindsey (Brandon) Beck; great-grandchildren, Alex Brown, Daniel Brown, Sophia Huttar, Liam Lopez, and Brandon Beck, Jr.; and beloved nieces, cousins, and in-laws.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Pilot View Friends Church with Pastor Josh Williams and Pastor Phillip Link officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The immediate family would like to thank all of the family who have helped Mrs. Reece over the past two years, and the medical staff, home health, and hospice who assisted with her care as well. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Reece family.
