Jonesville-  Mrs. Ozell B. Muncus, 95, of Messick Road passed away peacefully Friday, January 18, 2019 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  She was born October 19, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late Raymond O. and Minnie Spainhour Brown.  Mrs. Muncus worked for 31 years as owner and operator of Wendell’s Grocery Store and loved making all the “Best Bologna Sandwiches” for her customers.  She was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker for her family, and was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church where she served the church faithfully on the Hospitality Committee and with Bible School.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Wendell Muncus; a son, Ferrell Wendell Muncus, great-grandson, Adam Matthews; grandson-in-law, Randy Wooten; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn (Paige) Norman; brother and sister-in-law, Uba (Betty) Brown.  Surviving are her sons, Ronald (Mary Lou) Muncus, Boonville; Tilton (Sherry) Muncus, Jonesville; 4 grandchildren, Chris (Donna) Muncus, Dawn (Chris) Matthews, Toni (Bob) Wright, Jody (Teresa) Muncus; 7 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville.  Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev.
